My exploration of female roles began with a paper doll from my mother. Changing the doll's identity through dress sparked my ongoing investigation into the dynamics of feminine roles. Using paper dolls, I scrutinize the interplay between societal interpretations and authentic self-expression. Infusing historical archetypes into photographs and dress designs, I create a tapestry reflecting diverse female roles. The paper doll's dresses represent interchangeable identities, acting as powerful vehicles to communicate the complexity inherent in women's roles.
Paper Doll Dresses has been exhibited as a solo exhibition at the Vancouver Community Arts Council Gallery , group shows at Walnut Grove Gallery CA, USA and Vancouver Pendulum Gallery.
